The short version

We collect only what you type into our forms, we use it to answer you, and we don’t sell it. This site doesn’t use advertising trackers.

What we collect

Sharpening requests: your name, email, phone number if you add one, how many pieces, what kind of blades, and any note you write.

Contact messages: your name, email and message.

Visit counts: the counter described under Cookies and tracking below.

Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address and basic request information to deliver pages and keep the site secure. We don’t use that to identify you.

How we use it

To reply about your sharpening request or question, and to run and secure the site. We don’t use it for advertising and we don’t sell or rent it.

Who sees it

When you send a form, the details go to the owner as a private message through Telegram, a messaging service. Telegram and our host, Cloudflare, handle that data on our behalf. We share information with others only if the law requires it or to protect the business and its customers.

Cookies and tracking

The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Its fonts and images are served from the site itself, not from a third party. We count visits with a simple cookie-free counter that runs from our own domain. It records which pages were viewed, the kind of device and browser, and the approximate town, but not your name, and it doesn’t store your IP address. It also respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: if either is on, nothing is counted.

Other sites

If a link takes you to another site, such as Google Maps or a social network, that company collects data under its own policy.

How long we keep it

Requests and messages are kept as long as needed to answer you and for our business records. Ask us and we’ll delete yours sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct it or delete it, and you can tell us to stop contacting you. Contact us and we’ll take care of it. New Jersey residents may have additional rights under state law, and we honor reasonable requests whether or not the law requires it.

Children

The site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit who can see form submissions. No method of sending data over the internet is perfectly secure, so please don’t put sensitive details, such as payment cards or Social Security numbers, in a form.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top.
